Property Description

2 Mill Cottages is such a little character of a property: with a rich history which saw part of the building used as an animal stall, through to a Victorian extension and use as a fisherman’s cottage… it is now an adorable place to call home.

As you enter the property you are greeted by a useful utility room with storage and space for white goods; a characterful old door leads through to the high-ceilinged kitchen: a large space which easily accommodates a table as well as the fitted kitchen cabinets and appliances. A large window illuminates the room with natural light and gives a pretty view out to the front garden. A useful, full-height china cupboard/ pantry is accessed via another characterful door.

From the kitchen you access the pretty living room with a beautiful white, wood burning stove: the perfect centre-piece to gather before on winter nights. A storage cupboard lies to the back of the living room alongside a window giving views to the property rear.

Stairs lead you up to the first floor landing where you access the family bathroom with full size bath and plenty of storage fronted by pretty wooden doors. The landing also features a useful airing cupboard and continues to a double bedroom with character beams.

Back in the utility, a staircase leads you down to a further good-sized double bedroom and adjacent shower room.

Outside: With a select group of neighbours and surrounded by fields and greenery there is a noticeable sense of peaceful community spirit at Mill Cottages. Parking is found opposite the property where you gain access to the large garden. A real “gardener’s garden”, you cross a small rill via a wooden bridge under a mature magnolia tree and meander up a snaking path through established cottage garden borders filled with flowers and shrubs. You pass a wood store and a delightful garden shed as you work your way up to a large area of ground being prepared for organic planting. Continue further still up the garden to a large area of grass.

Area: Peaceful Caynham is just a couple of miles to the centre of Ludlow: filled with unique shops, cafes, restaurants, public houses, library, hospital: all serviced by buses and trains.

"An adorable, quirky cottage."

From The Squirrel roundabout on the A49, head southeast along Sheet Road towards Caynham. At the T-junction take a left, pass over a bridge and turn immediately right on to a track. Follow this track to the end. 2 Mill Cottages will be at the end on the right hand side. Parking is on your left.
